Sensei Doug is leaving us!
Sensei Doug and his family are moving out of the area, they are “emigrating” to Newcastle in August, so not long.
This is a great shame for us, but I am sure the Wilson’s are very excited to be making this fabulous new adventure.
Sensei Doug has been a hugely important part of the coaching team at LJJ since achieving his Black belt in 2016.
He and Sensei Duncan opened a new day in Coalville in 2016 on a Thursday, and the club achieved great success, but covid forced a venue change and we lost the day.
Sensei Doug achieved his second Dan with us in June 2021 and has continued to train regularly along with both his girls – we will miss Doug and his family but wish them great success and happiness in their new home.
And I will personally miss smacking him in the face :-)
There is a leaving card available to sign at The Stute, and we are currently searching for a nice leaving present – any suggestions?
