Hello, this message is going out to specific qualified students- This Sat is the Adult Black Belt gradings & this is an open invitation for you to “body” for the candidates. This is a great opportunity to witness the process & help the candidates perform at their best.

I realise that this is now quite short notice, and many of you will have plans – DO NOT reply if you cannot make it, I completely understand and with 5 candidates grading, we do have enough to complete the process.

 

What will you be expected to do?

Punch ‘em! Simple as that mostly.

They have to do some techniques to prevent throws, so your job could be to try and hip throw them, and if you succeed then well done you!  You NOT knowing what happens is an advantage to them, in that they need to do their moves against an opponent who does not know what is about to happen.

 

There will be an examination board of three senior Ju Jitsu coaches, and they will pick techniques and uke’s they deem appropriate, and if necessary, explain to you what your role is or how they wish to you attack the candidate.

 

You should bring your normal training gi and current belt, a drink, and a snack.
